On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and Israel, the Austrian Foreign Ministry, together with the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv, decided to publish a book on the Righteous of Austria. For the first time ever, biographical sketches of all 88 Righteous of Austria (the number is current as of January 1, 2006) are accessible in English. The volume also contains a foreword by Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, a preface by Avner Shalev, an introduction by Jakob Borut and a short glossary.
